Paul Muentener
Paul, a Psychology major and Cognitive Science minor, worked in the Georgetown Early Learning Project since his sophomore year. Originally from New Jersey, he became fascinated with infant cognition and development while working in the Rutgers Early Learning Project. During his time there, Paul investigated how previous exposure to objects affects the generalization of an infants memory at different ages. In the Georgetown Early Learning Project, Paul explored infants' imitation from television and spent the summer of 2002 studying infant attention to popular educational infant videos, such as Baby Mozart. He also studied 12- and 18-month-old-infants' abilities to form associations and transfer them from the 2-dimensional to the 3-dimensional domain for his Cognitive Science Senior Thesis. Paul was awarded the Sebastian J. Brennikmeijer Medal in Psychology at graduation and will begin a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology at Harvard University this fall.
