Dina Spagnolo

Dina has worked at the Early Learning Project throughout her senior year at Georgetown, where she majored in Psychology. She is from Westchester County, New York, where she has worked with a variety of programs for children. Her interest in research first arose in high school when she volunteered with Heartsong, an organization that provides art and music therapy to mentally and physically disabled children. She spent her summer breaks working first at a school for emotionally disturbed children and then at an acute mental hospital for children and adolescents with behavioral problems. These experiences inspired Dina to continue her study of psychology on the graduate school level. Her time with the Early Learning Project has peaked her interest in the learning processes of children. She will be returning to New York to attend Fordham University to receive an advanced certificate in School Psychology as well as a masters in Therapeutic Interventions.
